Patient organisations

We collaborate with patient organisations. They are best described as patient-focused not-for-profit organisations, where patients and/or carers (the latter when patients are unable to represent themselves) represent a majority of members in governing bodies.

European Patients Forum (EPF)

Founded in 2003, EPF has built alliances with European patient organisations, while laying the foundations for patient advocacy in crucial policy areas such as: patient safety, health literacy, pharmaceutical legislation and access to healthcare.

AOECS is a full member of EPF.
