My journey to understanding and treating my celiac disease

“After many tests, I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2005. This autoimmune disease meant that I had to avoid gluten-containing foods for the rest of my life. That doesn't sound so bad, but if you've eaten all the delicacies you can imagine for 17 years, if your own mother is a talented cook, and if you travel a lot and enjoy collecting new culinary experiences, then it's quite a shock. I don't know why it took me 15 years to seriously deal with this condition. But as the saying goes: better late than never.

What prompted me to start Gluten Revolution?
Because of my rosacea, a skin condition that can be caused by inflammatory processes in the gut and manifests itself through red pimples on the face, I decided to pay even more attention to my body. Although I already eat gluten-free, avoid sugar and practice meditation, I still had inflammation in my body. What was my skin trying to tell me?

I began to delve deeply into my body. I read books every day, listened to podcasts while cooking and eating, and watched videos to fall asleep, all to learn everything about nutrition, inflammation, and health. I continued my education and decided to focus on my autoimmune disease, celiac disease.

Through these experiences, I realized once again that I am the most important person in my life. I am incredibly grateful that I listen to the warning signs of my body and have investigated the causes of my rosacea.

I am not a fan of treating symptoms with injections, medications, and I am not satisfied with the harsh judgment of "abstain from gluten for life" alone. Instead, I want to understand and treat the root cause of my problem. My rosacea has led me to engage more deeply with myself and my body, and for that, I am grateful. It all began in 2022.

Today, I am even healthier, I eat gluten-free, and I have no more inflammation. I am powerful and love my life more than ever before! Even though I still strongly reduce sugar and industrially processed foods, although I could eat them again without complaints, I don't want to. I don't want to hurt my body and want to be loving towards it. You should too!

Be loving towards yourself and your body. Because without it, you wouldn't be here in this wonderful world.

Yours, Eva”
