Since March 2022 AOECS has been supporting gluten free food shipments to coeliacs in Ukraine. By participating in the Coeliac Day Run 2024, you have enabled us to continue this important work.

In total, 305 people ran, cycled, or walked 1,692 km and donated €2,430 to support coeliacs in Ukraine. Thank you for your support and effort. Below, you can see a few pictures from our participants.

AOECS arranges this pan-European event together with several national coeliac societies around Europe. It is a virtual exercise event, which is a healthy and fun way of marking International Coeliac Day and funding our support for coeliacs in need in Ukraine.

Coeliacs in Ukraine need your support

Since the onset of the full-scale occupation of Ukraine, the nation has experienced a devastating loss of its gluten-free food producers, with only four remaining operational. This dire situation has resulted in a critical shortage of gluten-free food, affecting Ukrainian coeliacs who rely on these specialized products for their well-being.

By registering to this event and paying the participant fee you will support the food shipments to Ukraine that has been in operation since March 2022. We heavily rely on contributions from the public and the work from our tireless volunteers to keep the aid going.
